New Hoofcare disinfectant from Progiene

Progiene have launched a new footbath product as part of its developing Progiene dairy hygiene range.

Digicur Advanced footbath solution is a triple-action broad-spectrum disinfectant for cattle and sheep based on glutaraldehyde combined with a unique complex of copper and zinc and is already proving a useful addition to the Digicur range of footbath products.

There is significant demand for innovative new footbathing solutions especially with the concerns around formalin and the now known potentially carcinogenic effects.

Digicur Advanced is formulated with high levels of surfactant to have a rapid acting cleaning effect with long cling, is non-corrosive in use and is free from formalin and QACs. The strong blue colour indicator acts as a visual aid when checking the concentration of the mix. An all too common occurrence is when the footbath volume maybe unknown/uncalculated or where automated dosing systems are used.

Digicur Advanced is a liquid that disperses rapidly which should be used at the low concentration of 2 litres Digicur Advanced to 100 litres water (2%). Even at this low use rate it still retains activity with high hoof soil loads and the low pH helps inhibit bacterial growth, whatever the weather temperature.

Digicur Advanced is available in 25, 200 and 1000 litre packs from the agricultural merchant trade.
